Bioengineering Day serves to celebrate UC San Diego's consistently top ranked bioengineering department, the current research by students, and the overall burgeoning field itself. The day-long event features various speakers, senior design project presentations, research seminars, and networking sessions.
With new genomic data, genome editing technologies and systems biology models, researchers work to rationally engineer CHO cells to optimize production of protein-based drugs
New tool to map RNA-DNA interactions could help researchers translate gene sequences into functions
All are welcome for Women in Bioengineering's next career development event. Our Alternative Careers with a PhD panel will highlight female professionals in the biotech industry who have taken their degrees and pursued non-traditional career paths, such as intellectual property law and scientific writing.
Do you think that your bioengineering knowledge can beat the rest? Compete in Bioengineering Day's annual Bioengineering Quiz Bowl!
Lab Expo is designed to be similar to a career fair, except that the representatives tabling at the event range from undergraduate to graduate students and professors from labs on campus. It provides undergraduate students a chance to not only see some of the research taking place across campus, but also get involved by joining a laboratory or learning more about ongoing projects. It acts as a stepping stone into the world of both industrial and academic research!
