San Diego, Calif., Feb. 5, 2019 -- Pancreatic cancer is the third most lethal cancer in the United States. Patients typically don’t know they have it until it’s too late, making it difficult to treat. Only 9 percent survive five years after diagnosis.

Michael Bouvet, MD, Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology, who specializes in endocrine surgery, has been working with Peter Yingxiao Wang, PhD, Professor of Bioengineering, to develop a treatment.
