Translational Medicine Day | UCSD BMES

Translational Medicine Day (TMD) is an annual, conference-style event hosted by the UC San Diego Biomedical Engineering Society. Our mission is to celebrate the growing potential of translational medicine through the first-hand experience of professionals in the field. Every year, we invite presenters from around the country who represent the vast diversity of careers in translational medicine. These include physician-scientists, bioethicists, research faculty, MD/PhD program officials and students and alumni, industry representatives, and more. Our event, organized into more focused sub-topics in translational medicine, allows these experts to share their experiences and advice with students. During these sessions, students can interact with presenters in an intimate setting and get valuable insight into what careers within translational medicine can look like.
