Development Engineering Services Recharge
The Department of Bioengineering has made available the staff Research and Development Engineer on a limited recharge basis to aid the custom equipment and/or process development needs of the department's faculty. All projects will start with a free quotation meeting to determine the scope, deliverables, time frame and projected cost.

- Custom equipment, tooling or fixtures design
- Laboratory equipment integration
- Mechanical CAD drawing generation of designs brought in
- Design and process documentation
- Automated systems sourcing, programming and integration
- Part sourcing - unusual suppliers, hard to find components
- External vendor project management
- Lab design and construction consultation
Rates - Updated 6/3/2009
- UCSD internal faculty or staff customer - $77.32 per hour
- External customer (including faculty or staff working on external projects) - $125.00 per hour
