In order to stay “on track” for graduation, Bioengineering students are encouraged to complete lower and upper division courses as indicated on the departmental major “flowcharts.” Lower division courses are offered more than once each year to permit students some flexibility in their program scheduling. However, deviations in scheduling Bioengineering (BENG) upper division courses is strongly discouraged, as BENG upper division courses are taught only once per year, and students taking upper division courses in a different order than that shown in the flowchart, may experience time conflicts, as the schedules of different courses may overlap and/or a delay in graduation may occur. Any deviations from the courses shown on the departmental major flowcharts must be approved by the Undergraduate Studies Committee prior to taking alternative courses.
To graduate, all UC students must maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.0.
Students may view their Degree Audit on TritonLink by clicking on Degree Audit in the left column. It is a good idea to monitor your Degree Audit each quarter to be sure that you are satisfying your departmental and college course requirements for being “on track” for graduation.
Please come in and speak with an undergraduate academic advisor in the Bioengineering Student Affairs Office concerning any questions about your departmental graduation requirements.
